Majal Design School announced earlier this month the launching of a new mentorship program, spanning the three majors that the school offers.
“This effort is meant to provide potential students and market players with immediate and impactful access to customized, hands-on advice,” Pamela Mikhail Daher, marketing manager and business lab chairwoman, said. “It is not like a class where you follow a curriculum. It is custom-designed for your needs and meant to push you forward.
Mentors participating in the program, to be announced shortly, include Majal instructors but also successful market players in the field and veteran artisans and professional experts. “We would like to give our community tailored access to the skills and knowhow they need to succeed,” Daher said.
The mentorship formula extends over six one-on-one hours, in addition to a first pre-assessment meeting. As part of the Partner Circle program, a discounted offer is provided to Majal certificate students.
“We promise our students that we’ll take them from class to market,” Daher explained. “This mentorship program a new stepping-stone and a new tool for our community in the right direction.”
