Our Instructors

At MAJAL design school, we pride ourselves in the knowledge, skills and talents of our instructors. A variety of specialized experts, many of whom have their own creative brands or work in the fields they teach.

  • Bassam Anouti (MPhil)

    Bassam Anouti is an exhibited multidisciplinary artist and art historian. A graduate of Université Paris-Sorbonne (Paris IV), Anouti also trained at a special program at the Louvres in Paris. His artworks combine artistic excellence with a rich background spanning French literature, art history and more. At MAJAL, Anouti teaches multiple courses in art and design.

  • Bettina Mahfoud

    Bettina Mahfoud is the founder of Constant Craving, a line of upcycled, sustainable apparel and hand-crafted handbags. She brings to MAJAL Design School over 25 years of creative, production, managerial, and teaching experience, across corporate, marketing and media settings. At MAJAL, Mahfoud teaches various textile and creative thinking courses.

  • Christelle El-Daher (PhD)

    Christelle El-Daher is a Lebanese fashion journalist and a copywriter. An innovation management researcher and specialist, El-Daher is the founder of The Way It’s Worn, a zine focusing on sustainability and emerging designers, and calling for a more critical approach to fashion. At MAJAL, she teaches textile history and fundamentals of textile.

  • Dina Boustani

    Dina Boustani is a business development specialist and a senior product and brand manager. Her studies stand at the intersection of business and jewelry design, including a diploma from GIA. Trained in jewelry design, she worked primarily on fine and fashion jewelry lines at DBDesign in Dubai and The RealReal in NYC. At MAJAL, Boustani teaches business for creatives.

  • Farah Dabbous (MA)

    Farah Dabbous is the co-Founder and creative director of RAMZ Studio, a design house based in Beirut. Armed with a BA in graphic design, training in calligraphy and an MA in Branding and Identity Design, Dabbous is also a product designer, photographer and visual artist. At MAJAL, she teaches digital courses, Kufic calligraphy, and branding.

  • Farah Yamout

    Farah Yamout is a jewelry designer and maker, and the founder of Cedilla Jewelry, a line that aims to inspire and empower women through jewels. Certified in wax carving at Esmod and in Diamond grading at HRD, Yamout has a background in graphic design. She is also trained in digital drawing and illustration. At MAJAL, Yamout teaches wax jewelry and Procreate. 

  • Iman Badr

    Iman Badr is a pharmacist and meta health specialist turned artist. Her fascination with patterns led her to experiment with different kinds of media and arts, including dot painting, collage, drawing, calligraphy, Islamic Geometry, and more. At MAJAL, Badr offers a variety of specialized workshops. 

  • Libbey Jazi

    Libbey Jazi is a master bead artist who has been beading for 30 years. Born in the land of beads in Northwest USA, Jazi was taught by masters and Native American generational beaders in her home country before moving to Lebanon. Today, she is the owner of Beirut Beads. At MAJAL, Jazi teaches a variety of beading and beaded embroidery courses.

  • Lynn Sidani

    Lynn Sidani is the marketing manager at Lemonade Fashion, a startup shaping the future of social commerce. Her long career in marketing includes positions at tech startups like NokNok and Lemonade Fashion. Sidani also managed performance marketing at Publicis, where she handled social ads for LVMH brands across the GCC. At MAJAL, she teaches digital marketing.

  • Lynn Sheikh Moussa

    Lynn Sheikh Moussa is a Beirut-based crochet artist teacher, who built her know-how in crochet at an early age. She holds an MA in Fashion Journalism and today balances her time between managing media outlet Beirut Today and being the operations manager of Mavia Bakery. At MAJAL, Cheikh Moussa teaches crochet workshops and private classes.

  • Marie Mouawwad

    Originally a housewife and mother, Marie Mouawwad is today the founder of Salleh Melyene, a line of handmade basket woven pieces that blend traditional techniques with contemporary art-deco trends. Mouawwad experiments with various materials and weaving methods. At MAJAL, she teaches basket weaving workshops.

  • Meghry Topuchian

    Meghry Topuchian is a senior creative analyst with 12 years of experience in design. An autodidact and a multidisciplinary creative thinker, Topuchian balances functional design with aesthetics in her own art. She favors jewelry pieces that feature mechanical challenges and necessitate creative solutions. At MAJAL, she teaches Jewelry 101.

  • Mira Bayakli

    Mira Bayakli is a textile artist and the founder of Mira Creations, a line of original handpainted designs on denim jackets, pouches and tote bags. An educator by training, Bayakli soon established her fashion business, translating her love for the arts. At MAJAL, she teaches textile painting and art for children (Little Makers Program).

  • Nour Tannir

    Nour Tannir is an interior architect specialized in interior styling, product design and turnkey projects. She is the co-founder of MAJAL Design School and the founder of 786 Faithful Solutions, a line of contemporary items for Muslim rituals. As MAJAL’s program manager, Tannir oversees the whole curriculum and teaches brand development.

  • Nour Yassine

    Nour Yassine is a fashion designer and instructor specializing in draping and flat pattern techniques. She has been teaching pattern-making at ESMOD Beirut since 2019, guiding students through essential design principles with a focus on hands-on practice and creative problem-solving. At MAJAL, Yassine teaches sewing and pattern making courses.

  • Rana Shehabedine (MA)

    Rana Shehabedine is a designer and researcher specializing in the art of Islamic geometry, and the founder of EVibes, a design house based in Beirut. Holder of Master’s degree in Islamic Art from LAU, Shehabeddine studied Islamic geometry at The Prince’s School of Traditional Arts in London and the Art of Islamic Pattern School. At MAJAL, she teaches Islamic patternmaking.

  • Rena Richani

    Rena Richani is a fashion designer and image consultant who specializes in pattern making and illustrations. Among her major achievements is mastering zero-waste patternmaking, a sustainable approach that minimizes fabric waste while maintaining the creativity of the apparel design. At MAJAL, she teaches sewing, pattern making and fashion illustration.

  • Roy Farhat

    Roy Farhat is a financial consultant and a partner at Farhat Auditing and Consultancy. Farhat specializes in guiding early-stage companies through strategic financial planning and managing cash flow, acting as a startup incubator. Farhat helps entrepreneurs build sustainable business models and scale their operations effectively. At MAJAL, he teaches financial planning.

  • Samuel Doummar

    Samuel Doummar is a jewelry designer and jewelerer who finds inspiration in stories, beauty, and people. Coming from a family of jewelers, Doummar holds multiple responsibilities at Doummar Jewelers including purchase, design, sales, and store management. He also handles customized pieces for clients. At MAJAL, Doummar teaches Matrix, one of his specialties.

  • Sarah Sayegh

    Sarah Sayegh is a certified photo, film, TV,  and personal stylist. She has worked with designer brands such as Poise Design and with local and regional media such as Jamalouki Magazine. Sayegh is also the founder of Capsules, a fashion concept that promotes limited edition eco-friendly collections, made from vintage silk scarves. At MAJAL, she teaches styling.

  • Yasmine Dabbous (PhD)

    Yasmine Dabbous is a visual culture artist whose work has been exhibited at galleries on three continents. Formerly an assistant professor at LAU, Dabbous is the co-founder of MAJAL Design School and founder of Kinship Stories, a line of tribal jewelry that tells stories. At MAJAL, Dabbous teaches various textile and jewelry courses.
