Boasting the work of 15 student designers and instructors, Majal Design School took part in the celebrated Designer Fair at Bossa Nova Hotel. Handmade jewelry and textile pieces abounded on the school’s table, dazzling with colors and sparkle.
“Each student designer or instructor features his or her own style,” Yasmine Dabbous, Majal executive manager, said. “It is a great example of how Majal promotes personal design aesthetic and brand identity among each learner.”
“Participation in this fair is part of our effort to promote what we do, but also to support our community of students and instructors,” Dabbous said. “Majal is a school with a mission, and this mission is to help students create, build and scale their design businesses.”
The Majal table at Bossa Nova featured examples in metalsmithing, enameling, beaded embroidery, textile painting, sewing, pattern design and embroidery.
During the event, Majal also ran four workshops, including peyote ring making, smocking, bracelet weaving and storytelling through textiles.
