Majal Design School Students Selected for Exhibition at Dover Street Market London

Four jewelry designers from Majal Design School have been selected to exhibit their work at Dover Street Market in London, one of the fashion industry's most influential retail destinations.

Three current jewelry certificate students — Miriam Awada, Elena Njeim and Marguerita Abi Hanna — and jewelry certificate graduate Darin Hachem will showcase their designs as part of a student exhibition opening on July 9. The exhibition will run throughout July, with selected pieces also available for purchase online.

Fourteen students from Majal Design School applied for the opportunity. Four were selected.

Founded by Rei Kawakubo, the founder of Comme des Garçons, Dover Street Market is a flagship department store known for supporting emerging designers alongside established international brands.

The selected works are original jewelry designs created by the four student designers and handcrafted using sterling silver, gold-plated brass, and, in some cases, precious stones.

“This is an incredible opportunity for students,” said Yasmine Dabbous, cofounder and executive manager of Majal Design School. “Dover Street Market can help jump-start a designer’s career considerably.”

Dabbous said the selection reflects Majal’s commitment to connecting education with professional opportunities.

“We at Majal are very happy and proud to be offering such opportunities to our certificate students through our class-to-market approach and our Partner Circle,” she said.

For the participating designers, the exhibition represents an opportunity to introduce their work to an international audience.

“This feels like a dream,” said Miriam Awada, one of the featured students. “I cannot be prouder. This is an incredible moment for my brand.”

Majal Design School offers certificate programs that combine design education with industry engagement, providing students with opportunities to develop and present their work in professional settings.
