Majal Design School will participate in the Beirut edition of Creative Dialogues, a cross-border platform connecting creative communities across the MENA region, with a multimedia exhibition featuring the work and personal stories of 26 female textile students.
Titled "The Path She Chose," the exhibition brings together embroidery, beading, weaving, collage and other textile practices to recount the journeys of women who have used art and design to redefine themselves and build new careers. The exhibition will be presented at a venue in Beirut, to be announced shortly.
The exhibition is part of Creative Dialogues’ 2026 program, which will take place from Oct. 9 to 11 under the theme “Design for Impact.” The event aims to encourage dialogue and collaboration across the region and to explore the role of creative practices in fostering innovation, empowerment, social impact and cultural exchange.
The exhibition is conceived as an autobiographical collection of stories about transformation and empowerment. It also seeks to open a broader conversation about the role of design and design education in women’s lives.
“We are very proud to link our students to these incredible opportunities through our Partner Circle,” said Nour Tannir, Majal’s program manager. “This is a great opportunity for them to learn but also to reach new heights.”
Majal previously participated in Creative Dialogues Beirut with a fiber art exhibition at Bossa Nova Hotel. The exhibition brought together the work of 11 textile students, who used weaving to explore Beiruti urbanism and portray the city as it is and as they believe it should be.
“We always do this as part of our class-to-market approach,” Tannir said. “We thank Creative Dialogues for believing in this approach and making it possible.”
