Majal textile students presented their work in front of senior Warde management for the second time in 2025, closing the year with a successful jury session.
Warde management will now convene to choose the best textile designs presented to them, and will proceed to print, market and sell Majal’s student works at their stores. Winning students get commissions on sales.
This arrangement comes as part of Majal’s partnership with Warde. The Lebanese textile mogul welcomed the opportunity to work with graduates from the first textile design certificate in Lebanon.
Textile Surface Design for Interiors, offered as part of the certificate, teaches students to design fabrics for upholstery, wallpaper and other interior textiles. Students who take the class are eligible to run for the Warde-Majal competition
“The class was very interesting and useful,” Hala Itani, Majal textile certificate student, said. “I now see patterns everywhere.”
