Majal Textile Students Exhibit Their Pieces As Part of Creative Dialogues Beirut
Eleven textile design students from Majal Design School will respond to Beirut's struggles and resiliency through woven installations that merge memory, material, and imagination. Using everything from electric wires to delicate threads, they translate Beirut’s contradictions into texture and color.
Their artistic effort will be shown during a collective exhibition featured under the umbrella of "Creative Dialogues: Beirut" on September 12 at Bossa Nova Hotel.
For over 5000 years, Beirut has been destroyed and rebuilt; each time layering chaos with resilience, exhaustion with hope. Today, we celebrate through weaving and textiles.
The effort is led by YVT Consultancy in Dubai, in collaboration with Majal Design School and Bossa Nova Hotel.
